A video has been making the rounds on Twitter showing its CEO Elon Musk getting booed at one of Dave Chappelle's comedy shows in San Francisco, California.

Dave can be heard introducing Elon saying "Ladies and gentlemen make some noise for the richest man in the world." As Elon steps onto the stage he holds his arms out, seemingly expecting an ovation. Instead he is met with resounding boos from the crowd. He continues to wave but the boos only increased and continued throughout the video.

Elon then turns to Dave and says "Weren't expecting this were you?" to which the comedian replied, "It sounds like some of them people you fired are in the audience." Chappelle continued doing what he does best and made light of the situation with a series of jokes, trying to show support to Musk through the crowd's unrest.

Elon Musk has been a most controversial figure since he bought Twitter. Furthermore, with all of his time spent on revamping the social media platform, his absence from Tesla has caused damage to its brand with stocks also slipping since the acquisition.
