Instagram, Taraji P. Henson, using Lensa
A new app is going viral on social media for creating jaw dropping avatars using artificial intelligence based on uploaded photos. The Lensa app is available in both the Apple and Android play stores.
Users are able to generate between 3-100 Ai images after paying a fee and the results are creative to say the least.
Celebrities have also been joining in on the fun including Taraji P. Henson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Lilly Singh.
While some love the results, others feel it takes away from the work and recognition of human artists. @peacehaje posted "AI only got 3 out of 50 — this is why we gotta support our human artists 🤌🏾"
Artificial intelligence is "the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings." The automation of tasks can be applied to many sectors including art and has been gaining popularity throughout the years.
