Takeoff, Flaunt Magazine
The music world is reeling after news of rapper Takeoff's death has been circulating. It was reported that the incident occurred at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas where Takeoff and fellow member Quavo were in attendance at a card game. Quavo and another man were engaged in an argument when shots were fired, one of the bullets hitting Takeoff in the head. Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, was 28 at the time of his death.
There has been an outpouring of shock and condolences from both fans and colleagues for the death of the young star. The 'Stir Fry' artist was known as the quiet one of the group, someone with a calm demeanor that preferred to stay out of the spotlight. The group rose to fame after the release of their hit single 'Bad and Boujee.' Offset later left the group to pursue a solo career but Quavo and Takeoff continued on, recently promoting the release of their new album 'Only Built For Infinity Linx'. Takeoff's last post on Twitter was the announcement of the video for the single of their new album 'Messy', a day before his death.
