Netflix recently released their letter to shareholders for Q1 of this year. The streaming company reported a decline in subscribers to the tune of 25% (which translates to 200,000 subscribers) which reflects slowing growth.
Another issue that came to light was, while streaming remained high, the amount of households that were sharing accounts was significant (i.e. 100M+ households).
Netflix moved to rectify this issue by monetizing shared amounts and increasing its prices.
Forecasts revealed the company expected a further loss in "paid net additions" (subscribers) in Q2 '22 of approximately 2 million.
