President Biden has been diagnosed with COVID-19 for the second time. The diagnosis comes days after testing negative. Dr. Kevin O'Connor, the White House Physician confirmed in a statement that the President was not experiencing any symptoms and "continues to feel quite well."
The President was initially taking Paxlovid, produced by Pfizer and one of the few drugs approved for use to treat the virus. One issue with the drug is the reemergence of the virus once the medication is stopped after recovery. All travel has been cancelled for the POTUS while he is in isolation at the White House.
The President posted a video Saturday morning on Twitter, announcing his diagnosis while standing on a balcony with his dog Commander. He appeared in good spirits and informed the public that he was 'Going to be working from home for the next couple days' and that he was 'feeling fine, everything's good.'
