QUEEN ELIZABETH II HAS PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 96

After a reign of 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II has died. Buckingham Palace issued a statement this morning that her heath was a cause of concern as Royal Family members rushed to her side at Balmoral Castle. Buckingham Palace later released a further statement confirming the Queen had died.

People who had gathered at the estate in Scotland sang 'God Save the Queen.'

With the death of the Queen, her son Charles will now succeed her as King Charles III of the United Kingdom. He also released an official statement and expressed her death being 'a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.'

Queen Elizabeth II (full name Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor) was born in London on April 21, 1926. On November 20, 1947 married Prince Philip (Mountbatten), who became the Duke of Edinburgh. They later had four children, King Charles, Princes Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. After the death of her father, King George VI, she became Queen regent at age 25 in 1952.


Celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee was held in February 2022 for her 70 year reign. She holds the longest reign of any British Monarch.


Her cause of death is unknown.
