The Princess of Pop is back and she's set to release her new single with music royalty Elton John. The song is called 'Hold Me Closer' and will be available this Friday on all streaming platforms. This will be Britney's first song in six years. Her last studio album 'Glory' was released in 2016.
Elton John posted a teaser of the track on his social media page. The video shows a rocket launching from a bed of roses with Britney's vocals playing over dance music. This is the pair's first collaboration and it's going to be interesting to hear the two mesh on a single a track.
Fans are ecstatic and can't wait to hear new music from the Grammy award winner. Britney was also excited to share the news "my first song in 6 years !!!! It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time … @eltonofficial !!!! I’m kinda overwhelmed." She also talked about being a getting a "clean slate", choosing happiness and learning that her "space is valuable and precious!!!"
Britney's Instagram page also got a clean slate after she deleted all of her posts and disabled her page ahead of the track's release. Her Twitter page is still activated as of now.
