As reported by WSJ, the end of sharing passwords is quickly approaching for Netflix users.
Netflix previously voiced its intention to change access to the platform after a fall in revenue and loss of subscribers earlier this year. The Q2 '22 letter also revealed that more than 100 million households were sharing passwords.
Things seemed to look up later in the year as documented in their Q3 '22 letter to investors. The streaming platform experienced an increase in revenue and membership due to reviewed viewership and the release of several hit films and series including 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story', 'Stranger Things S4' and 'Purple Hearts.'
In an effort to attract new members, Netflix recently introduced a Basic with Ads plan offering a lower subscription rate. The platform will also be airing it's first live streaming with Chris Rock's upcoming comedy special in 2023, following in the footsteps of Hulu and Peacock.
