SCIENTISTS SUCCESSFULLY REVIVE CELLS FROM DEAD PIGS

August 19, 2022

It seems we're step closer to accomplishing the impossible of raising the dead.

Yale University reported that its scientists were successful in reviving cells in organs harvested from pigs.

One hour after death the organs were treated with OrganEx, a technology based off of a similar technology BrainEx, that successfully "preserved tissue integrity, decreased cell death and restored selected molecular and cellular processes across multiple vital organs."

This method of restoration is groundbreaking for organ transplants. In 2020 almost 13000 organ transplants were done in the US, while trends indicate that organ donations have been decreasing (according to the US Department of Health & Human Services).
