CALIFORNIA URGES DECREASED EV CHARGING AFTER BANNING GAS VEHICLES BY 2035

The state of California is in the midst of a heat wave and now imploring residents to limit their consumption. The call for "voluntary electricity conversation" was made in a Flex Alert posted by the California Independent System Operator (ISO). The alert also imposed electric vehicle owners to refrain from charging between the hours of 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

This comes after the Government of California announced they were phasing out the sale of new gas vehicles, working up to a total ban by 2035. The California Air Resources Board posted news of the voted-in regulation as an added step in reducing carbon emissions.

California has been experiencing triple digit temperatures the last few days. Electric car sales in the state were 16% an increase of about 4% from last year.
