MORE BABIES AND CHILDREN ARE STILL BEING RESCUED AFTER TURKEY-SYRIA EARTHQUAKE

Rescue efforts are still being a carried out days after a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Turkey and Syria on Monday, including repeated reports of babies and children.


Videos have been shared all over social media of the heroic efforts of rescue crews trying to locate and free civilians from the destruction of the earthquake.


A newborn baby was pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building after her mother went into labour while trapped. Sadly the mother did not survive but the infant was rescued and taken to hospital to recover. The baby girl is the only remaining survivor of her family.


Another mother and her baby were found in Turkey after 90 hours trapped in the rubble.


Baby 'Adnan' was rescued a miraculous 72 hours after the quake after his cries were heard by rescue workers.



The current death toll has now reached at least 22,000 with more being found with each passing day. This devastating number does not include those that have also suffered injuries. Thousands of people have become displaced in the cold winter weather with emergency shelters being set up to provide aid. Volunteers have been working at various zones to handle the influx of survivors coming in.
