Music legend Tina Turner passed away due to natural causes on May 24, 2023. She died in Switzerland at the age of 83. An announcement was formerly made on Instagram honouring the icon for "her music and boundless passion for life".
Named the Queen of Rock and Roll, Turner's decades long career produced hits such as Proud Mary, What's Love Got To Do With It and The Best while collaborating and performing with stars including Beyonce, Mick Jagger and David Bowie.
Starting out in a hugely successful band with ex-husband Ike Turner she later left the abusive relationship to pursue her solo singing career and star in films such as Tommy, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Angela Bassett also played Turner for her biopic What's Love Got To Do With It in 1993.
She is survived by her husband Erwin Bach. Both of her biological sons Raymond Craig and Ronnie Turner have already passed away.
