A tweet was posted comparing the career of Keke Palmer to Zendaya and it has gone viral.
Twitter user Melinda Eg (@NBAgladiator) made a comparison post of Keke Palmer and Zendaya writing "This may be one of the clear-cut examples of how colorism plays out in Hollywood. They were both child-stars, but their mainstream popularity is very different."

A Keke fan, Aiyana N. Ishmael (@aiyanaish) fired back tweeting the Broadway performer was already a star, recounting her popularity since Akeelah & The Bee.

Melinda Eg followed up her post clarifying her comments and praising the talents of both Keke and Zendaya, "They are 2 incredibly talented Virgo Queens who each have an Emmy, but in different categories...It's just weird that people are acting like this [Keke's role in the movie Nope!] is a breakout role for Keke, who is VERY successful."

Keke ultimately responded that she shouldn't be compared to anyone at all, listing all of her accomplishments throughout her illustrious career:

"A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer."
